Plastics processing company iMFLUX Inc., a Procter & Gamble Co. subsidiary, is betting a new location in West Chester Township can expand its operations capacity.

The company received an eight-year income tax credit from the Ohio Tax Credit Authority on Monday for its development plans. The savings would be used for new machinery and equipment, iMFLUX told the state.

Within three years, the company said, it would employ 221 people at a soon-to-be-determined site. The average annual salary is promised to be nearly $79,200.

Details are limited about the technology the company will use because it is working to secure patents, iMFLUX spokeswoman Anna Hogan said.

The company, created to develop new technologies in plastics processing, operates at P&G’s Beckett Ridge Technical Center in West Chester.

The technical center is home to the company’s global packaging design and development and its corporate engineering labs.

“It’s a great fit for West Chester Township,” said Barbara Wilson, a township spokeswoman. “Advanced manufacturing is a targeted industry as we look ahead and continue to develop a diverse and substainable economy. This is the type of investment we look for.”

Wilson said the company is still scouting several locations. Production at the facility could start in the summer, Hogan said.

Several job openings are listed on P&G’s website for iMFLUX including manufacturing plant superintendent, injection mold design engineer and plastics process controls engineer.
