Two privately-owned West Chester companies announced plans to expand their operations today at a meeting of the Ohio Tax Credit Authority.

CTL Aerospace, a Small Veteran owned business, will add nearly 50 new employees as part of an expansion of their company. CTL Aerospace will receive a 50 percent abatement of taxes for seven years based on new investment over the next three years.

"CTL Aerospace, Inc. is a proud and proven supplier to both the US Government and Aerospace industry since 1946. CTL is excited to bring additional jobs to the community of West Chester, as well as the state of Ohio," said company President John Irwin.

West Chester has seen significant growth in the aerospace industry over the past five years with the addition of GE Aviation Additive Development Center, CFM International, and the expansion of CTL Aerospace. The aviation industry requires a specialized workforce and companies are finding access to these employees in West Chester.

Kingsgate Transportation, a logistics company operating in West Chester since 1986 also announced plans today to add 30 new jobs to the community as part of an expansion of services offered.

Kingsgate received approval from the Ohio Tax Credit Authority for a 40% Job Creation Tax Credit for a period of five years.

Kingsgate is a logistics broker management company serving as a liaison between companies who need to ship and shipping companies. They will occupy Class A office space as part of this expansion and building upon their market presence in the community.

“West Chester’s economic climate has demonstrated to be positive for family-owned businesses. It is rewarding when these companies find prosperity and grow in our community,” said Township Administrator Judi Boyko. “CTL Aerospace and Kingsgate Transportation represent targeted industries for our continued economic sustainability.”

West Chester partners with REDI Cincinnati and JobsOhio to support new business investment and expansion of existing companies.
